Dolomite with Manganese oxides (classic locale)

Beyond a doubt, the world's finest crystallized Dolomite specimens came from the two magnesite quarries at Eugui, Spain. This is an outstanding and aesthetic pair of two clusters of interpenetrating, twinned Dolomite rhombohedrons resting on small Dolomite crystal matrix. These stunning light gray crystals are water-clear to translucent and have pearlescent faces. The striking, large frontal crystal is 7.7 cm across. The crystals are dramatically, richly, preferentially peppered with uncommon, tiny spherical aggregates of Manganese oxides. In excellent shape, overall. The right edge of the large rhombohedron is bruised, but is certainly only a minimal detraction to this wonderful specimen. The piece displays well without aid.
