An exceptionally aesthetic green and purple fluorite specimen from Zhejiang Province, China, featuring a prominent, beautifully formed main cubic crystal surrounded by an architectural arrangement of additional intergrown cubes. The specimen is particularly distinguished by its exceptional vitreous luster, striking purple color zoning, translucency, and excellent overall composition. The centerpiece is a large and remarkably well-defined fluorite cube projecting prominently above the surrounding crystal group. Its geometric form is exceptionally attractive, with broad square faces, crisp edges, and a commanding orientation that immediately draws the eye. Most importantly, the principal cube appears complete and undamaged, preserving the integrity of its edges and corners and giving the specimen the clean crystallographic presentation desired in high-quality fluorite. Color zoning is one of the specimen's strongest attributes. The crystals possess a delicate pale mint to seafoam-green interior, dramatically framed by concentrated zones of vivid violet to deep purple fluorite. On the principal cube, this purple coloration follows the outer portions of the crystal and is especially concentrated along the margins and beneath the faces, creating a pronounced geometric phantom-like effect. The contrast between the cool green interior and saturated purple zoning is exceptionally attractive. The fluorite is transparent to translucent, allowing the internal zoning to remain clearly visible through the broad crystal faces. In favorable lighting, the crystals take on a luminous quality, with the pale green interiors appearing almost water-clear in places while the purple zones form sharp bands and irregular internal clouds. Subtle internal growth features and inclusions add complexity without overwhelming the specimen's transparency. Luster is outstanding throughout. The broad cubic faces exhibit a bright, glassy to highly vitreous sheen, producing strong reflections along the edges and corners. This brilliance is especially effective on the principal crystal, where the combination of transparency, sharply defined geometry, and polished-looking natural faces gives the cube considerable visual presence. Surrounding the main cube is a complex group of smaller and medium-sized fluorite crystals in overlapping and intersecting orientations. These subsidiary cubes repeat the same green-and-purple coloration and create a highly dimensional composition rather than a simple cluster of crystals on a flat surface. Several crystals project outward at different angles, while others partially overlap one another, producing an attractive stepped, architectural arrangement. A relatively restrained amount of pale gray to white matrix remains attached along one side and beneath portions of the fluorite. This matrix provides useful geological context without dominating the presentation. Instead, the fluorite occupies the overwhelming majority of the visual field, with the large central cube elevated naturally above the surrounding crystals to create a particularly strong display orientation. The overall composition is a major strength of the specimen. The large, pristine principal cube forms a natural focal point, while the subordinate crystals provide balance, depth, and movement around it. The resulting structure is exceptionally photogenic from several viewing angles and combines the disciplined geometry characteristic of fluorite with unusually expressive internal color zoning. A particularly fine Chinese fluorite distinguished by its exceptional luster, vivid purple zoning against pale green interiors, gemmy translucency, sharply formed undamaged main cube, and highly aesthetic multi-crystal architecture. The combination of strong crystallography and dramatic color distribution makes this an excellent display specimen from the fluorite deposits of Zhejiang Province.
