Description

A refined small-cabinet association specimen showcasing a sharply terminated quartz crystal rising elegantly from a richly textured calcite and siderite matrix. The quartz crystal is beautifully proportioned, standing upright with a classic hexagonal prismatic form and a crisp, symmetrical pyramidal termination. Its clarity is exceptional: the upper portion is water-clear and brilliantly lustrous, reflecting light with a mirror-like vitreous sheen. Internally, delicate veils and faint wisps create a feathery, frost-like texture in the lower half, adding depth and visual complexity without diminishing transparency. Subtle mineral inclusions and faint iron staining along one prism edge lend natural character and locality authenticity. The matrix beneath provides striking contrast. Rounded, botryoidal clusters of warm tan to honey-brown siderite intermingle with creamy calcite, forming a granular, sparkling base. This earthy foundation enhances the brilliance of the quartz, creating a compelling interplay between clarity and texture. The specimen presents excellent balance between crystal and matrix. The overall composition is harmonious and highly aesthetic—an elegant example of Shigar Valley quartz associations, combining fine luster, sharp form, and pleasing mineral contrast.
